Meet Our Team
Lauren Densham
Lauren is a Registered Physiotherapist (UCT 2006 -PT0094943) and the founder of Lauren Drummond Physiotherapy, with over a decade of experience working as a Physiotherapist in the KZN Midlands. Lauren founded her private Physiotherapy practice in 2011, and worked mainly in the field of Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy - with an emphasis on Home-based Rehabilitation. Her interests have been focussed over that decade, with Rehab.Me being borne out of a desire to achieve excellent rehabilitation outcomes for her patients and clients in the (mainly retired!) community of Howick, KZN Midlands.
Lauren has always prioritised patient care by ensuring each and every client gets sufficient time and space to communicate their problem, and receives individualised, evidence-based treatment. Home-based evaluations and therapy allows clients to recover and rehabilitate in their usual environment, and negates the need for transport and the difficulties some experience in accessing this.
The focus of Lauren's practice is in the areas of Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Injury, Rehabilitation following Hospitalisation, Exercise Therapy, Gait Retraining, Prescription and Education in the use of Assistive and Mobility Aids, Fall Risk Assessments.
Why us?
Lauren Drummond Physio is an independent community-based practice with more than a decade of service in Howick and strong working relationships with local providers, which allows us to provide the very best rehabilitative care and realise the very best outcomes for you or your loved one. No matter whether you are recovering from a planned surgery such as a Hip Replacement, or you have had a long hospital stay for illness, you may just be experiencing the aches and pains of injury or even something more chronic - we will ensure that you have a strong professional to be your partner on your journey back to health and fitness.
As Rehab.Me - we are also available to facilitate the rehabilitation process - a service invaluable to those with family based overseas or in distant parts of the country. It is often a difficult process to manage from a distance, especially when different time zones make communication difficult.
